Pictures from Past Week(s)

Here are some highlights from days/weeks back. Let's rewind..?
WARNING: Many pictures ahead.

Pokok buluh rebung.. .. I think.

I remember following Papa, watch his love of planting trees - many kinds of them. I guess, it's a satisfaction when the plants grow healthily? Whatever it may be, it's a good deed. 😊 The weather was scorching hot. I wonder how other people manage to stay under the hot sun doing their daily jobs?

Ahh the sweet mangoes. How can I forget. I ate it almost everyday (not that I ate just that). Still not over it. I can still eat more. The only food I can't take (till now) because I ate too much once upon a time: SHAWARMA.
I love mangoes as fruits themselves, not as drinks or desserts. Tiba tiba. #funfact

30th of April: Papa's birthday. Secret recipe cake & KFC party at his office. A combo that can't go wrong. As I grow up, I realise that there's nothing to celebrate actually. It's the gathering that matters.

Main bola.. dalam rumah. Don't worry. The windows were OK. Nothing was damaged. Except my heart. Kidding! At first, I thought I wasn't going to sweat considering that I was playing with a 6 years old. I was wrong.

First meal, heading to Hatyai. Yes, still with my favorite Teh O' Ais.

I'm quite familiar with Thai food because it's everywhere here in Malaysia kan. There were many non-halal restaurants. So, had to find 'Halal' sign. Not a problem. Managed to find plenty.

I will remember this uncle who approached our table when we were having breakfast at Salma restaurant just across the Mayflower hotel. He gave us two plates of peanuts for us to try. Oh and the peanuts tasted like kuaci. We bought and he gave more for FREE telling that it's the first sale of that day. He's very nice, always smiling - just like in the picture. 😊

My first tuk tuk ride. They're everywhere in Hatyai. Just tell the tuk tuk driver the place you're heading to and the price will be negotiable.

Street food.

Hatyai Wonders Land. We went for the 4D Museum. It's fun - especially for the kids. Running from one graphic to another (them kids of course). Haha. They have the best imaginations.

Usually, I do some research before going on vacations - places of attractions. This time, I just didn't. For no good reason. Somehow I had this floating market in mind because it was featured in one of the episodes of Running Man. Haha. I really wanted to go. No regrets. It's like pasar malam.

We also went to Asean Market on our last night there. That place is huge! The shops mostly close at 10.30PM. We went around 8.30PM. Didn't manage to cover even one round. On other days before that, we walked to the shops nearby the hotel. Wasn't a waste though. Just that, there were more shops at this market. Oh well. It's OK. Tu lah, tak buat research.

Fajr in Hatyai is one hour earlier. On the last day, I decided to get ready early and get the packing done. I wanted to walk in the streets of Hatyai. So I did. Unfortunately the shops weren't open yet. There were just people walking, cars, tuk tuks, ... ... ... not much. Still glad I walked around.

Thank you, Hatyai!

Eventhough, they keep reminding me that I'm already 25.. ... .. but this trip was a little more fun, with them around. 👊
